Traditional Malay House
The design of the booth is inspired by elements of the traditional Malay house found within the many palm oil plantations in Malaysia—a testament to the tenacity of their way of life and the management of sustainability in Malaysia.
Wooden Structure
Inspiration was drawn from elements such as the wooden structure, carvings and furnishings, as well as the typical surroundings. The roof structure was designed for maximum exposure in an island booth, with the distinctive kampung roofline visible from every angle.
Traditional House
This traditional house has withstood the test of time, reflecting strength in the wooden structure and the environmental-friendly nature of the build.
MPOC
Interactives and technology to help tell the story of MPOC was integrated seamlessly into the space to encourage interactivity and more engaging visitor experiences.
Malaysia Palm Oil Council
The brief by the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) for the INFA 2018 Exhibition in Hanover, Germany was simple: showcase Malaysia in the visual cues of the design and tell the story of MPOC in an interactive way.
